Equinox Engineering Ltd. is seeking an experienced and talented Technical Proposal Coordinator with a strong engineering background to join our Calgary-based Business Development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of proposals, presentations, executing marketing strategies, and growing new initiatives as part of a fast-paced team.

The Technical Proposal Coordinator will work closely with the Business Development team to coordinate Request for Proposals (RFPs), Expressions of Interest (EOIs), and Request for Quotations (RFQs), etc. The role will require a understanding of engineering projects, and the Technical Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for developing plans for proposal execution that include all technical and commercial components with a strategy to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate RFPs, EOIs, and RFQs and develop plans for proposal execution that include all technical and commercial components with a strategy to succeed.

• Participate in proposal development and track responsibilities and timelines to ensure all technical and commercial components are included in the proposal strategy.

• Develop and maintain proposal material, including resumes, biographies, technical experience packages, project profiles, and more.

• Maintain proposal content database in SharePoint.

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, College or University degree

• Minimum of five years of relevant experience in engineering or proposal coordination in an engineering firm or similar field.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Professional Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) necessary

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator) valued

• WordPress website maintenance as well as basic HTML & CSS valued

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong engineering background and experience in coordinating and developing proposals for engineering projects. They will be able to comprehend complex engineering projects and incorporate technical details into the proposals. The Technical Proposal Coordinator will have a understanding of the engineering market, including new energy and renewables, natural gas, conventional oil, and heavy oil markets. They will work closely with the Business Development team to ensure that all proposals are competitive, technically sound, and align with the client’s needs. The successful candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
